The Elevator

I was ready to go to my warm and cosy bed but the thought of my parents death was swirling around like a tornado.  “Wow, today is my parents wedding anniversary!” I said to myself.  The lights started flickering but I thought nothing of it at first, but then, it stopped for a second.

Suddenly, the elevator started shaking like an earthquake.  “What’s going on?” I said.  I could barely stand up, my heart was racing and my head was spinning.  “Wait what?”  I said.  The elevator song changed to the song my parents listened to in the 1970’s.  I banged on the door.  BANG!  BANG!  BANG!  BANG!  “HELP LET ME OUT!”  I screamed.  Everything stopped, the elevator stopped shaking and the lights stopped flickering.  I got back on my two feet while the door opened slowly.  I thought it was over and that I could finally go to my room but I was wrong…

As the doors opened slowly my parents were standing right in front of me, “Mom?  Dad?”…
