The 7th Ghost

All the children went to the lunch room to eat their packed-lunch.  All the kids but Jake, who was left alone with Mrs. Fox in the hall of the seven ghosts.  The room was silent as a mouse.  The tension could be cut with a knife.  “Jake, there is no easy way to say this but you are a ghost,” Mrs. Fox said depressed.

“Oh, Mrs Fox, you are so funny, there is no way on earth I am a gh-” Jake paused.  There were pictures of all the seven ghosts.  But what shocked Jake the most was the 7th ghost.  Himself.  Cause of death – unknown.  Death occurred seven years ago in 2014.  Jake had turned still as a statue.

“I told you Jake, you are a ghost,” Mrs. Fox exclaimed.  She turned and pointed at Jake’s portrait.  Jake was gone when Mrs Fox turned back.  Jake was never seen again.
