A Near Miss

The sun hasn’t risen yet, it was dark and gloomy and almost impossible to see anything.  As I was walking I saw something behind the trees.  Oh, it must have been birds I reassured myself.  I – I hear an engine in the distance and it’s getting louder and louder.  There was a glimpse of light as it got brighter.  I know see a bright light behind the rocks.  I could see car headlights, it felt like I was staring at the sun.  I told the rumbling car, “STOP!”  The speeding car didn’t it got too close and I had a choice.  I leapt out of the car’s way and was tumbling down and down.  My world was spinning.  Just when I was about to blackout I didn’t.  I fell into a cave and heard a loud growl among the darkness.
